Great hotel to stay in! The rooms were very clean and comfortable (although the pillow was a bit flat). The room was made every day and the staff were very nice. The room also comes with a Thun card which allows for free bus rides for your stay which was so convenient and useful! The only small thing was that our room was directly above the kitchen which meant it was noisy at night.

We spent three nights at Hotel Chartreuse and the staff and owner can't be beat. Everyone there was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They had a great parking area, super comfortable beds, and delicious breakfast. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night as well and the food was outstanding. The location is an easy walk to a waterfront park.
My only cons were: the shower is very small for someone my size [6' tall] and I hated that there wasnt a light switch in the bathroom only an occupancy sensor - the lights went off on me in the shower once, and if I got up in the middle of the night to use the restroom all the bathroom lights came on wide open and then didnt go back off for several minutes.
I would definitely stay here again!!
Great location, near the lake and Thun centre. Clean, modern, spacious rooms. Large car park. Free water, fruits and coffee available for guests at the library which is a nice communal room. Good breakfast. Great hosts who work at the hotel themselves, they are accommodating and flexible. Would stay here again and recommend.
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Chartreuse! The owners are so friendly and the rooms are nice and clean. It was nice to stay outside of the very “touristy” areas like Interlaken. The hotel is still very conveniently located. You can take a couple busses close to the hotel directly into Thun and travel by train from Thun station to various places. You can also take a bus directly to Interlaken (about a 40 minute trip one way).

You are always welcomed here. Starting from the owner, Pascal and his wife, together with the whole crew most original Italians, including the Chef are very professional, helpful and look after you. Been there twice and will visit again when I will be again in the THUN area.
Excellent hotel, easy to reach by bus from the train station (21 line about 10 mins). Rooms are very comfortable, restaurant is the best, you should book dinner in advance. Breakfast is included, also a bus ticket to travel around the city, it can go quite far as we reached Interlaken by bus.
